What is Community Vision?
Founded in 1989 by Joe Wykowski, Community Vision emerged from a personal need to support an individual with Batten Disease, Donald Bos, in living within the community. Following the closure of the Fairview Training Center, the organization expanded its services to address a growing demand for independent living options. Today, Community Vision provides comprehensive support to nearly 200 individuals, advocating for and mentoring them to achieve their potential in their own homes, in fulfilling jobs, and within supportive social circles. The company's core mission revolves around ensuring that everyone with a developmental or intellectual disability has the opportunity to thrive.
