What is Child Development Center?
Child Development Center is dedicated to serving Western Montana families by providing comprehensive services for children at risk of developmental delays, from birth up to age six. The organization also extends its support to individuals with diagnosed developmental disabilities, from birth through age 21. Key offerings include home-based intervention services, known as Family Education and Support (FES), where specialists work directly with families in their homes. Evaluation services are typically conducted at the CDC office, with the capacity to determine eligibility for developmental disability services for individuals aged 19 and over. Furthermore, CDC offers respite care, including two dedicated respite homes, and manages a limited reimbursement program for families needing caregiving support for their child with a developmental disability throughout their life. For children receiving CDC services, a variety of behavioral consultation options are accessible, with staff trained in advanced behavioral analysis techniques. CDC also facilitates referrals to local professionals for behavioral consultation and medication monitoring, and may assist with therapy services such as speech, physical, or occupational therapy.
