What is now Tom Redditt Sales Agency, Inc. was started by Thomas L. Redditt, Sr. in 1949. Tom Redditt began his career as a manufacturer's rep in 1946, selling cast iron cookware, mud flaps, ranges and a variety of other items. In May of 1949 he went to the first ever National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago and while there, saw the need to... exclusively focus on foodservice. Later that year he began Tom Redditt Sales Agency. Working out of Denver he covered the entire Rocky Mountain Region by himself, staying on the road for months at a time. Tom was more than a manufacturer's representative and entrepreneur, he was a visionary, seeing a need for local expertise in the field to better represent his factories and service his customers. To that end, Tom eventually opened offices in Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Albuquerque.
