The Lighting & Interiors Group we know today was established back in 1979 then known as Village Lighting. Sales increased and the business steadily grew, so much so that in 1987, manufacturing was moved to premises in Cheadle, South Manchester. Combined with a pottery in Stoke and a separate lamp shade manufacturing factory in Bradford, Village Lig... hting became on the UK's leading manufacturers and wholesalers, supplying a wide range of table lamps and lamp shades to some of best known high street retailers. In 1996, Village Lighting bought Philip Salter & Son, another well-established lighting firm, fully merging in 1997 we began operating from larger premises in Cobden Mill, Bolton. The mill was bought outright in 2001 and we now operate over 5 floors with 200,000 sq. ft. of warehousing and distribution space. Ideally located in the North West of England, our company benefits from great transport links to the whole of the UK. Throughout the years, we have successfully turned our hands to other interiors products including wall art, storage, cushions, vases and mirrors. The strong relationships we have built with our suppliers allow us to offer competitive pricing over our full range of products. We currently employ 20 members of staff in the UK and 5 in the Far East and supply a wide range of high street stores from both our warehouse and on an FOB direct from our factories. We regularly produce catalogues to showcase our range from which we supply our ever increasing independent customers.
