The Healing Center

The venture initially started three years earlier in 2010 when Jay and Chris began advocating the state's legislature to pass responsible medical cannabis legislation for Pennsylvanians suffering from debilitating conditions. Their efforts brought them to Senators Daylin Leach and Mike Folmer, the eventual authors of Senate Bill 3. Together, they w... orked to educate the Assembly and to address the needs of the millions of Pennsylvanians who badly required this medicine. Around the same time, a grassroots initiative was formed by a group of patients and parents of patients called the Campaign for Compassion. The Healing Center formed a close relationship with the Campaign for Compassion and immediately began lobbying for patients to the Assembly. To help them with their efforts, the Healing Center hired the most prestigious lobbying firm in the state, Wojdak & Associates. The goal was achieved when Governor Wolf signed Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Act into law on April 17, 2016. There are many benefits for the patients in the law that The Healing Center successfully lobbied on their behalf.
