TERRA provides professional archaeological consulting services throughout British Columbia. The company's work is conducted at the request of First Nations, federal and provincial government agencies and ministries, private sector corporations, and private land owners. Project scope ranges from single lot developments to large, multi-year projects... such as major highway and transmission corridors, mine development, pipelines, and other broad land base projects. Terra's team of archaeologists is made up of highly motivated professionals who have a keen interest in uncovering and understanding the past. An overriding respect for heritage resources ensures that Terra's efficient completion of archaeological studies includes the ultimate protection of the resource. The company's obligation to uphold the Heritage Conservation Act of British Columbia and the company's obligation to work in the company's client's best interest is a challenge the company consistently meet. Terra's staff archaeologists possess degrees in archaeology or anthropology and have significant practical field experience throughout the province. Many of the company's senior staff members are eligible permit holders and field directors who have extensive experience managing projects. Several staff members are professional members of the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists (BCAPA). In additional to the company's full time archaeological staff the company regularly hire other discipline specialists as required. The company also make it the company's practice to hire local First Nation community members to assist with projects. Many of these assistants have worked alongside the company's archaeologists on a regular basis and contribute their energy, knowledge, and skills to successful project completion.
