Western Canadian Tire Dealers Association Hall of Famer, Lou Leibl founded Sturgeon Tire back in 1987. Sturgeon Tire began as a used tire store that sold passenger and light truck and some farm tires. Eventually, a retread plant was fully operational at the Sturgeon Road location. In the 1990's Sturgeon Tire added blems to their list of products and eventually started to bring in Cooper Tire products. Today, the company continue to buy and sell used tire and are proud to offer Cooper, TBC brands, Pirelli, Mickey Thompson and a variety of other brands to the company's loyal dealers and retail customers. The company also offer a competitive retreading program for medium truck tires. Sturgeon Tire continues to grow and expand its distribution network throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. The company's fifty person team currently operates six strategically located locations in Winnipeg to service the company's retail customers and a variety of commercial fleets.
