About Smothers Barbers
Established in 1902. Appointment only, Walk-ins up on availability. We specialize in traditional barbering services such as hot towel straight razor shave, beard trims, line ups, haircuts and a variety of traditional and modern hairstyles. One of the oldest barbershop in the Upland area. Early 1900s this shop was called E.B. Dickerman Barber Shop and Bath Room. During the 1930s, it changed to a bootery. Then it became a tobacco and candy shop. Then, in the 1940s Perry Long took over the business and was back to being a barber shop. In the early 1950s, the shop was purchased by Harold Gleeson. In 1962, Ed Smothers purchased the shop, and named it Smothers Barbers. In 1995, Smothers sold the establishment and Rick Hess took over the business. Fall of 2018, Sam took over establishment and carries on the Smothers Barbers name.Explore more
