Fat Straws, a bubble tea chain with four units in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas, is jumping onto the dalgona coffee bandwagon too. The concept, founded by husband-and-wife duo Terry and Jennifer Pham, will start offering new drinks topped with dalgona coffee on June 12. The new line will include: Dirty Chai (chai milk tea with dalgona coffee)... ; Dirty Matcha (matcha milk tea with dalgona coffee); Dalgonacado (avocado smoothie with dalgona coffee); regular dalgona coffee; and Dalgona Coco (coconut milk tea with dalgona coffee). The price for these beverages range from $4.25 to $6. There might be opportunities for dalgona coffee within the food and beverage category of the consumer packaged goods industry as well. Hannah Bae, founder of Noona's Ice Cream in New York, launched a dalgona coffee flavor in April. It's a cinnamon ice cream base with layers of dalgona coffee and "ppopgi" dust. "Ppopgi" is another word for dalgona (the candy), Bae says.
