Began operating April 2017 under the leadership of Debra J. Hampton. With the closure of the MHMRA of Harris County HCS program, individuals as well as many former MHMRA of Harris County employees made the decision to become a part of this new corporation. Many employees worked for MHMRA for over 10 years with Ms. Hampton working with the agency fo... r over twenty one years. HCS is a Medicaid Waiver program that provides you funding for the services and supports you need to live, learn, and work in your community. When you enroll in the program, Cartman & Hampton, Inc. staff members work with your Service Coordinator from the Local and Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA) and your family to develop a Person Directed Plan and an Individual Plan of Care. These two documents guide you and staff in selecting and accessing the services you need. One of the goals of our program is to be consumer-driven, which means that we will develop and implement services based on your needs, priorities and choices, within the resources available. There is a wide variety of services and supports available through HCS. All of these options are focused on helping you be healthy and happy so that you can participate in the community as fully as possible. We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute to the community, and our goal is to help you do that. To provide services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities utilizing a holistic approach that impacts their physical, spiritual, and emotional growth in a positive and productive way.
