Burke Hospitality Group (BHG) is a Charlotte-based company committed to providing good food in outstanding settings since 1987. As of December, 2017, the company is moving over to a new name to better reflect the company's business as a multi-concept group, said Tom Sasser, president. While the company has always celebrated the roots of the company's company with the name Harpers Restaurant Group, the company also realized there was some confusion in the community about the company's role as a parent company for the company's other concepts, including Upstream, Mimosa Grill, One Catering and the new 1801 Grille in Columbia. In determining a name change for the group, the companys partners decided to look home for inspiration. All three of the company are from Morganton, NC, which is located in Burke County, said Sasser.
