Association to Benefit Children (ABC)s mission is to defend the right of every child to a joyful and nurturing childhood. Through innovative and replicable programs, the company serves some of the most vulnerable children in New York City - children suffering from complex issues of poverty, hunger, emotional and physical abuse, disabilities, inadeq... uate schooling, and homelessness. The company's programs, including early childhood education for at-risk infants, toddlers, and preschoolers; supportive housing; health and mental health services and crisis intervention; family support and preservation; year-round youth development; and an open door to the community, are changing the life trajectories of underserved children and families. In addition to providing urgently-needed direct services, ABC remains active in its advocacy efforts to inform national policy, extending its positive impact beyond the citys borders.
