Libertine was founded in the Adelaide Hills in 1997 with a goal to supply the boutique market with a diverse range of good quality Australian made leather belts at reasonable prices. Working with full grain leather we set about making belts that would last a lifetime and age beautifully...along with the wearer! We rejected any type of leather that... would not improve with time and we still do. Then with the massive surge in popularity of distressed denim, a need was created for a new type of belt: the type of belt that looked old right from the start. So we designed our first range of distressed leather belts and were met with instant acceptance. Today those designs still sell just as strongly as part of a much larger range on offer here and through our 150 outlets all across Australia. With leathers from Italy, India and New Zealand, we now offer over 50 casual and semi-formal styles in 20 colours, all in the full size range up to 50" and beyond. Offering new designs has always been part of our plan and customers appreciate the distance we go to keep things fresh. This is something we will never stop doing. The same can be said of our commitment to continue to supply Australian made goods.
