Cooper Associates was formed by Andrew Cooper following a career specialising in major capital investment and transport policy reform while at Deloitte and boutique consultancy Saha International. Andrews consultancy experience has been built on the back of a range of commercial and operational management roles in the energy, transport and manufact... uring sectors. Andrew returned to NZ in early 2013 after some years advising in the Australian infrastructure sector. On his return he identified an opening in the market for a hands on practitioner able to offer practical and direct advice to clients, while remaining agile and responsive to specific project needs through an associate model. In 2014, Andrew joined forces with his brother Peter, to expand the scope of services offered by Cooper Associates. Peter is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. His career in procurement began at Telecom NZ, although his formative experience was as a founding member of Accentures in-house procurement function in the UK. In recent years Peter has been engaged to establish and lead strategic procurement functions for a range of public sector organisations including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and ACC. Making the complex simple is Peters strength and he has a proven reputation for delivering meaningful, measurable change within large organisations. Peters public sector experience and Andrews large capital procurement background are complementary and provide a unique mix of capability and access to a range of high calibre industry and state sector experts.
